The first TDP-NonEx was installed and remotely opened by a client in the UAE in September 2017. The plug was a development project initiated by the end user. Based on the global run record of more than 1 000 glass plug installations, the TDP-NonEx was developed to meet the market needs of Middle East clients by developing tools independent of well bore parameters and eliminating any requirement for specialist intervention by TCO prior to running in the well.
On July 17th 2017, TCO successfully installed the first Tubing Disappearing Plug in the UAE. The plug had been through several qualification programs prior to the installation to confirm its reliability and functionality in challenging environments.
In September 2017, TCO installed three TDP-PO's in a trial campaign for a client in UAE. The overall goal of using the remotely operated TDP-PO was to eliminate slick line operations to set and retrieve conventionally used wireline nipple plugs. The performance of the plug was measured on debris tolerance, accuracy of the shear out value, the size of the debris generated by the shattered glass, full bore ID after opening as well as the performance of the barrier.
On August 14th 2016, TCO successfully installed the first Tubing Disappearing Plug in the Middle East in Qatar.
Major Operator installed TCO's Q-Series Chemical Injection Devices at multiple nodes in lower completion and provided the Operator with a cost effective and reliable means of preventing halite build-up across the horizontal sand face over the life of the field.
